JUNIORS JIU-JITSU PROGRAM
The emphasis in the Juniors Jiu-Jitsu Program is on respect, self-confidence, self-esteem, attitude, teamwork and discipline. Students will also work on strength, flexibility and coordination while learning the basic skills of jiu-jitsu. These include striking, breakfalls, hold escapes, throwing, joint manipulations and ground defense. The Juniors Program has more emphasis on traditional martial art skills in order to build strong, long lasting fundamentals.
The Juniors Jiu-Jitsu Program has a grading system based on belt ranks. Students must learn and be able to perform the required techniques at each belt level. That being said the emphasis should not be on how quickly to move from one belt to another but rather being the best student possible. Consistent attendance along with a good work ethic will assist students in their progression.
Students in the Junior Jiu-Jitsu attend classes twice a week. See the class schedule for days and times.
