Sensei Shaun Barbon began his jiu-jitsu training at Hiscoe Jiu-Jitsu in 2004. Shaun is a dedicated student who has devoted many hours to perfecting his techniques. He has been Shihan Steve’s uke for the past several years. As one of the senior students in the dojo Sensei Shaun has taken responsibility for many classes while Shihan Hiscoe is away on business. He is the assistant instructor for the Adult Program.

On the 21st of December 2009, Shaun was personally assessed and graded by Shihan Steven Hiscoe, following a successful exam he was promoted to the rank of 1st degree black belt in Can-Ryu Jiu-Jitsu.

Besides being married and the father of 2 girls, Sensei Shaun also contributes volunteer hours to the community of Chilliwack as a member of the Chilliwack RCMP Auxiliary Constable Program.
